Unstable provision of power

The unit continues to work for short periods and then stop. This is on two separate cars which both work perfectly on another Wallbox unit so it is fairly certain that this unit is faulty and needs to be replaced. The company have not responded to a number of requests to help get this sorted with is very disappointing and just means I would certainly not recommend them to others planning to use their services.

Worst Charging Unit I've ever seen

I've had my WallBox Pulsar Plus for over a year and a half now and I've had nothing but grief with it. The app doesn't connect with WiFi when I try connect. Then the charger won't work when the car is plugged in. I've had this issue with 2 different cars, both of which have had no issues with public charges. I could not more strongly tell people to avoid WallBox. It's a horrendous System.

My experience with 4 years of WallBox

Wallbox had been getting good reviews around the time I needed to have a home charger installed. Reason only I decided to purchase and have it installed at my home. Initially for the first three or four months, the charger worked well subsequently began to give trouble, the main problems being inability to connect to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The specific problem varies from charge state to charge date.

I found the service support from Wallbox to be absolutely terrible. My problems were intermittent that is sometimes it would work and sometimes it would not it was boxes primary goal not to replace the defective product.

It took a full year to have the technical problems solved, and for about nine months now the charger has been working excellently. let’s hope it lasts.

Doesn’t charge sometimes on night time schedule.

I have it set to charge between 2 and 6am it sends a message to say car is not looking for power every night . It proceeds to charge most nights but lets me down other nights .

When it works, it's great, when it doesn't, it's shocking

So the app is pretty simple but it's fairly unreliable.

Lots of hanging/freezing issues. If you have a schedule set but want an immediate boost so start early, getting it back on to the schedule is 50/50 if it'll work at all. Had to uninstall the app twice already to fix that issue.

Like others have said, I have multiple costs during the day for electricity but can only programme one in which seems really basic to have?

Works great

The app is designed well and easy to use. Once you install the charger and the app is setup, there isn’t much to change or update on the app. One thing I really like about the app is Auto Locking and Scheduling. They work exceptionally well. One of the main features I think the app is missing is the Cost Management. Currently, Cost Management allows you to specify a fixed, single Energy Cost for the charging sessions. I, for example, have time-of-use tariff and has multiple costs during the day and nights. There is no way to specify this at the moment. It’d be great to see this implemented in the up coming days…

It's unbelievable that so long has passed and wifi still not working. I have followed all steps and even changed my wifi password to accommodate their problems and try to make it work. Useless.

Just get a charger that doesn’t need an app. Most cars u can set a timer in the car. This charger just decides it doesn’t wanna connect to the app anymore. Don’t make the expensive mistake I made

Have to constantly turn off WiFi and turn it back on again or having to delete and reinstall app to access app. It’s slowly improving. Needs to have price per unit oh hourly basis for smart meter use added also.

Big improvements happening quickly

A year ago when I got my Wallbox charger I would have given the app less than one star if that were possible but with the frequency of updates which have largely fixed the main annoyances over the months this is a solid 4 star app.

It looks good and all the features are there but it keeps changing my time schedules after I have saved them to completely different times which can take my charging time outside the cheaper night tariff I’m charging on.

Doesn’t connect to wi-fi network

I’ve been using this charger since Jan 2021. Several updates to both app and charger firmware. Several improvements but wi-fi connection is not one of them so this app is pretty much useless along all its improvements. I’m an IT engineer so I’ve checked all technical details around wireless connections and router configurations. It simply doesn’t connect to my wireless network.

app is buggy and has poor UI

- Bluetooth connection is unreliable, sometimes will not connect

- Charger crashes sometimes but app gives no details. App loses connection every day regardless of whether the charger has reset or not

- statistics in app are really poor. It doesn’t report the charge per session - just per day. Fields in ‘Sesions’ table are too small / badly designed. Many of the numbers or dates are displayed as ‘01/04/2….’ Or ‘10…’. This is the same on an iPad with a huge screen.

WallBox app.

Awful. Frequently Can’t connect WiFi, Bluetooth or 5G. If you lock the WallBox you are risking not being able to open it connectivity fails so you can’t use charger. Shambles.

Not good for Bluetooth or wifi

Bluetooth works for me rarely even when I’m within 3 metres (it should work up to 10m) so I constantly have to delete and re-install the app to get it to connect to Bluetooth (and no, turning Bluetooth off and on again on your mobile device does NOT work). Wifi is extremely patchy, even though my router is only 3 to 4 metres away from the Wallbox device it again rarely connects to wifi. If I stand beside my Wallbox my phone picks up wifi no problem.

I would not now buy a Wallbox simply based on the uselessness of this app.
