Very poor app
Absolute garbage of an app and service! I tried to stream on my TV after closing the web tab on my laptop and on my TV I get the message “someone is streaming on another device”. The latency of the refresh is laughable as well as your attempt to get me to upgrade to two devices and pay more. The only thing you’ve accomplished is me cancelling this garbage service.

Can’t watch while traveling
This app is so, so bad. I’m traveling abroad and can’t watch F1 because I’m traveling? I’m paying for the service.
Additionally, even if I then manage to get a VPN to download the content post-race so I can watch it on the smart TV, it says the downloaded content can only be watched on my phone - my question to all of these constraints is “why?”.
Honestly, the amount of restrictions they put just because there’s a small % of people that might abuse it in a way that they think might damage the company ends up providing a terrible experience for the majority of the customers. Pls become a 2025 company.

The app doesn’t sync across device then you have to watch heaps of ads to see which episode you on. Not worth it when I can have Netflix with no ads instead. Support claimed that continue watching doesn’t sync across devices, then decided it do… refused to provide a number to call despite being required to by Irish consumer law. Refused to let me speak with a superior.

New UI is painful
Why did they spend time and resources just to make the UI worse? It’s not a case of things being moved around, it’s everything. Even the size of the channel names on the program schedule are too small to read. I have to guess which one is correct! It also suggests that if you rotate your phone you will be able to see the next show.. but that doesn’t work, so you have to individually swipe on each channel to see what’s in next in the tiniest font known to man. That’s just a fraction of the ongoing frustrations I have with this app! How did this pass user testing?

Terrible Experience – Watch Out for Hidden Charges!
I signed up for a promotional subscription at $5.99 per month, but after just one month, I was shocked to find that I was charged for three additional subscriptions I never signed up for: Ultra Boost, Cinema, and Entertainment. They added these without my knowledge or consent. This feels like a scam, and it’s incredibly frustrating to be charged for services I didn’t request. I’m extremely disappointed with this company and would advise others to be cautious. Watch out for hidden charges and misleading subscriptions!

New Update A Mess on Apple TV
The new update (Mar ‘25) is awful on appleTV. The tv guide disappears before you can even read the description, resulting you constantly loading the guide just to see what’s on. Also you can only see the short description, it’s impossible to get into the full one. Was it even tested on Apple TV?! Another thing that drives me crazy is the addition of ads now during on demand content. At the start was bad enough but ad breaks during a show for a paid app is ridiculous! Extortionate Pricing for Ad-Free Subscriptions
Disgraceful that they’ve introduced Ads unless you pay an extortionate fee for the boost membership. Paying a fortune for on-demand and receive ads at the beginning and throughout a 30 minute tv show episode. As well as this, the app is clunky and doesn’t divide multiple accounts so you can see what everyone is watching and two family members can’t seamlessly watch the same tv show at different speeds.
Extortionate price for a sub-par product in comparison with competitors. Don’t let them fool you into thinking they have IPs that aren’t on Netflix or Prime, half of them don’t have half the seasons of the show anyways.

It’s good, I will say one drawback is the lack of subtitles on many kids, and animated shows, not just specific to this app, but now’s kids content in general, I do enjoy these shows myself and can imagine a child who may be hard of hearing may enjoy them also if they had subtitles. Now TV's app has been quite disappointing.
It's very slow, freezing continuously, and bombards me with unnecessary device limit pop-ups even when I'm only using one device. Also despite my TV being on the list of supported devices, the Now TV app still doesn't appear, which adds to my frustration. Consequently, I'm left with no choice but to Chromecast from my iPhone to watch the content on the TV which rarely works neither.
The app's poor performance significantly impacts my overall user experience and makes it difficult to enjoy the brilliant content library that Now TV offers. Despite the great selection of shows and movies, the constant app issues have pushed me to the point where I'm seriously considering canceling my subscription. It's truly a pity that such potential is overshadowed by the app's persistent problems, leading to my dissatisfaction with the service as a whole.
Moreover, I must mention that the customer service provided by Now TV was also useless and awful. Despite reaching out for help with the app's problems, they were unable to offer any meaningful solutions or assistance. The lack of effective customer support only added to my frustration and disappointment with the overall experience. The combination of the app's performance issues and poor customer service has solidified my decision to cancel my subscription to Now TV. It's unfortunate that such a promising content library is marred by these significant drawbacks.

I love The sports on demand on Now Tv, I do think they can make the prices per month a little bit cheaper but instead of having to pay for now tv for over 30 euro, the price in having it for 22 without a contract is very good and the sports on demand and live are excellent to. Boost really helps me when I use chrome cast to connect the premier league from my phone onto the tv. Small improvements needed in terms of prices but apart from that, it’s a great app

There’s a lot of available content even just in the Entertainment package. I got a great deal for 6 months, so just use it occasionally, but I love that I can use it abroad especially when all the tv channels are in French etc.

Destroyed by adverts and terrible TV and Mac apps
NowTV has a few good shows. The service has been destroyed by appalling apps and a new “drive people back to torrenting” initiative to add adverts for paid subscribers. Even their big nameless competitor knew to put ads in on a cheaper tier and not shaft existing customers.
The sudden and jarring introduction of adverts into a paid service is the end of NowTV for me after this month’s subscription ends. It was only barely worth the fee, an extra fiver kills it.
Also, the Apple TV app is as poor a user experience as you can get, on par if not worse than RTÉ and eons behind every other paid streaming service. So the only way to watch now on Apple TV without losing your mind is to AirPlay from phone or tablet.
But the cherry on top is NowTV on the mac. You’re forced to download an app which has never been tested and simply does not work whatsoever.
Get your tech and your subscription model back in shape if you want people to return.

Good selection of things to watch
Now has a very good selection of movies and tv shows to watch with their packages although they are a bit on the pricey side especially if you have the sports channels too.
My issue is that the interface is quite slow when trying to get around and the expiring library. Shows or films on the watchlist often get dropped sooner than I thought or maybe a season or two which is annoying

Keep having to reinstall on Apple TV 4K
This is a comment on the app rather than the content.
I agree with other reviewers that the interface and controls are not the best. What is worse for me is having to constantly reinstall on Apple TV box. It could be Apple TV OS getting updates but it’s in readable annoying to have the app give a generic error “something went wrong”. And it’s a blank screen after that until I delete the app and download it again. iPad app has no issues like this. Any chance of a fix soon? It’s an expensive subscription so I would expect the content delivery apps to work.

The NOW TV app is probably one of the best apps to watch good movies on. You can watch movies that aren’t on Netflix and there are a lot of really good movies on there that are hard to find, if you are reading this and you are thinking of downloading the app DO IT! It is so worth it I promise 💘

Great, easy to use and customer friendly
I watch on my iPad and I can’t find much fault with it - however, it’s impossible to watch on a laptop. Now TV has been up and running long enough to be able to offer the same streaming services as Netflix, Prime etc but that said, it’s a great app with so much good quality content to choose from.

I’ve used NowTV on and off for years and have never once had an issue with it. Always delivers good quality picture, the choice of sports and the prices are packages are good too. The app is top quality, and once you have at least 3G you will get what you paid for which is a high standard app.

I love the selection of shows and movies but it’s let down by the really poor servers. iPad is my main device and Netflix, prime Disney Apple TV etc all work no buffering or blocky images. If I want to watch a hour on now tv 4 or 5 times it breaks up and 1 to 2 times it stops asking me to give it a minute. It’s the same on my tv app, prime 4k no issues now tv 1080 same as iPad.

Good selection but poor reliability
I really enjoy this app, I use it on my phone, laptop and TV. Up until recently I’ve had no problems but I got a new TV that doesn’t support the NOW app, so I’ve been using the Chromecast function to stream it on the TV from my phone , the only problem with that is the chromecast function sometimes completely disappears from the app on my phone and does not let me do it! And then when it does, every 10 minutes it drops and a weird error message comes up every time, other times I can watch a whole episode with no issues.

Good selection but interface needs work!
I love the shows. Think it’s a bit expensive when we start to consider how much the add-ons are but for that price would expect an interface that is user-friendly and flawless and it is not that. The genres are muddled, the selection of shows varies from what device you watch it on (baffles me) and the connection to things like Chromecast is poor at best. It often stops in the middle of shows, restarts them entirely or just restarts from the beginning. Netflix have won on their platform. Simple, easy to use, accurate in recommending shows. Work is needed on the user-friendliness and algorithms in my opinion especially due to the cost of it!

Sky sports and sports extra pads
The sky sports and sports extra pass (bt and premier sport) are a must have for any football fan. I’ve always wanted to watch sky sports but I wasn’t prepared to pay for a whole sky tv package. But this is perfect I can watch it anywhere and on my tv. I perfect present for any football fan.

Now TV won’t work on MAC laptop
Sky owns NOWtv and that’s a warning in itself. Don’t even bother getting Nowtv if you’re using a Mac laptop to watch, it picks and chooses when it wants to work. it’s not on the App Store just off their site as a plug in for Mac (bad sign in itself). Signed up for a week trial followed by the 2 months for 15€, only to find that it worked beautifully for the first week and the day the money came out of my account it refused to work hence forth.
Tried all the tricks to get it to work. Sky / now tv refuse to give me back my money.
0 point in paying for this service that picks and chooses when it wants to work and shocking customer service support. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Wish I knew in advance 👍🏼 nice one sky / nowtv

A bit disappointing
I bought NOWTV with the sole purpose of watching Sky Sports. On the iPad everything works fine apart from the inability to pause, which is huge let down. The second let down is the functionality/interface of NOWTV on a computer. I tried to watch some sport on my laptop and when I clicked the NOWTV player it kept redirecting me to the home page where it was trying to sell me a pass that I had already bought. It took me 30 minutes to figure out how to actually watch what I had paid for. The quality of the video/audio is all very good once you do eventually figure out how to get it started, but the laptop interface is very frustrating

Great streaming service
I’m really enjoying watching tv shows on NOW TV. They have good content and get some of the American shows before other streaming services. The only downside is that sometimes the app doesn’t seem to save where you left off watching so when you go to watch again, it starts at the beginning instead. But overall, it’s great.

Best streaming app I’ve had.
Now TV has so many shows and it’s hard to know which one you want to watch! Would recommend. The only reason I have it at 4 stars though is it’s price. €15 is a lot of money, but it worth it

Now TV
Trounces the other streaming services for variety, quality and cost. I have the entertainment package. I like the way you don’t have to buy all the packages. My remote stopped working only about a week after I bought the package but doesn’t matter cos the remote on the phone app works just as well. It’s also very user friendly.

Good app but choice could improve
The app itself I have no problem with. It has been working for me perfectly and I’ve been recommending it to many. However my issue is I would love more choice with movies in particular. There are many new movies which I would have thought should be on this already but no sign of them. Subscription is a bit pricey too but I got an offer at the moment.

The best
I absolutely love now tv i have had it nearly two years now , love the selection of tv channels and bought the movie channels oct last . Love how i can watch my tv program through the now tv app on my phone when im out and about , download a movie or tv program and watch on a flight . I have recommended this product to alot of people .

Bit pricey but...
Now TV has got an exceptional range of shows, movies and sports broadcasting but it can be very pricey (especially if you’re a student) and also the tv shows don’t last long, and what I mean by that is when they add an episode of a particular show, the episode will be removed for whatever reason I don’t know, maybe to clear room for my content but a company like Sky and a service that’s so pricey should have a mega storage facility for its online content.

Great idea, terrible in reality
I’m almost finished my free trial but definitely won’t be paying for this. There are loads of programs on it I’d like to watch but the app itself is so poorly made and inconvenient to use, there’s no way I’m signing up. On my phone it’s not too bad but the app for Mac is actually laughable. Every time you put your laptop to sleep and want to pick up where you left off, you have to go back to the website to sign in again, then reopen the app. It’s a streaming service that doesn’t stream.

Best for movies
Love Now tv. Fantastic selection of movies that are really good to watch. The entertainment section is good but I feel it lacks a good amount of programmers that most people like to watch. It’s a shame that you can’t just pay one fee and get everything like you can with Netflix.

Brilliant
Love it! I just set up an account to watch GOT, I’m not very good with technology but set up an account in 5 mins (less) and get two week trials with loads of other things like sky movies and kids stuff. I’m very happy and can only recommend it! Also hasn’t stalled once yet and no disturbances when viewing.

Best!!!
Now TV is the best streaming app around. So much selection of TV, movies, live channels etc. It is a bit pricier than the others as you have to pay separately for movies , TV shows, kids etc but you get what you pay for. I told myself I’d subscribe for the couple of months while the new season of GOT is coming out but can’t see myself cancelling it after that

Great app if you’re looking to watch the shows it provides. Personally I only bought a pass to watch Game of Thrones. The quality is good and the app is great, easy to use and navigate. My only issue is there’s lots on offer but not enough. There should be a lot more available if you’re going to pay €15 a month. Not to mention having to pay €15 for entertainment and €15 for cinema is insane!! Just give the two together. Due to Now TV’s as well as Netflix’s lack in available shows I have to pay for the two just to enjoy what I’m interested in.

Just awful
I just don't get why it's so expensive and why you have to buy separate packs. I bought it for game of thrones but the entertainment pack is drowning in old and dated shows nothing really original. The app is terrible regularly get connection errors and other errors sometimes the app just closes worst thing is it doesn't remember where your at in the episode. No app for my smart tv have to buy a dongle or box as soon as game of thrones ends this service will be dead nobody wants to pay 50% more for old shows and no movies when Netflix gives you everything for less money.

Simply PERFECT!! Best value out there, excellent
I cannot fault NOW TV as it is perfect for the price. Great to download to my iPad Pro to bring with me when away from home. It is really a bargain and a very well thought out structure. I am very impressed with it and have recommended it to many people and a lot have tried it and are hooked like me.
Congratulations to all in NOW - it is exceptional, well done.

Best steaming app on the planet
I love now tv. Unbelievable selection of the best movies and tv shows of all time. Recently you could only have four devices and make only one change per month. Now you can register up to six devices and there is no limit to the changes you make. This is great since I was waiting to put it on my iPad and Mac. Also, recently it was made possible for downloading content for use on the go. This is perfectly convenient for train or plane journeys or even at an area without WiFi. Overall now tv is a brilliant way to catch up on all those titles you’ve missed. The price is good but better still you can sometimes avail of promotions.

Brilliant stuff
It's a great app, does exactly what it should and does it very well. My only real gripe all along was the lack of support for the screen size of the new iPad pro models, though that has recently been addressed. Nice to see things getting updated. Took a while, but it's extremely welcomed.
Oh and of course it's a shame that Game of Thrones is only available for a couple months each year, though I suppose that's an expensive license to hold.

Took while but love it now
It took a while to figure out the navigation but once we did we love the diversity of this app. We would love to see it more family operational by having each family member use their own favorite shows but maybe that will come later xoxo

The best App to date
I got an offer just before Christmas for Now TV - 2mths for €25 Cinema and Entertainment. I only had limited standard channels before this so thought I would give it a go as I would be around. I am now converted! I love it. So many options to choose from, good selection of quality movies and great box sets and tv programs. I never watch main stream now as tv lifes much better with Now ;)

Great App
I only use the app, so can’t comment on the quality on laptops etc but I find it great and user friendly. The only downsides to it are that there isn’t always the full amount of seasons available to watch (Chicago fire only seasons 4&5), Also no subtitles option. Bit pricey for what you’re getting. But on the whole it’s worth it because it has a lot of shows that aren’t on other streaming sites. I like that it gives you a date that it’s available til, so you don’t log in one day expecting to watch something to see it’s been deleted.

Terrible from start to Finish
I wanted a Now TV account as it is some great content which I wanted to watch. It took me over an hour to set up an account as it's packages are so confusing. Then after setting up an account, you can't just watch straight from your laptop, you have to download extra stuff to be able to watch shows and movies. Eventually when I had it all done it wouldn't work because it wasn't supported on Google Chrome and I had to get Mozilla Fire Fox. It's always buggy and stops mid show and is expensive for what you get. It's just clunky, annoying and misses the point entirely of having an easy viewing option.
If you're thinking of paying for now tv, I'd think again and find a better service. This one is appallingly bad.
