Crashes on opening, please fix it

Good app and products.
I really like this company and it’s products. Can’t fault the app. Only option I’d like to see would to have more than 12 hours to put cameras into sleep mode. Having to do it every day is a bit monotonous. An option to completely mute it untill you want it turned back on or have a timer to set it up would be great in maybe a future update. Other than that I’m very happy with it.

Causes hard lockups
The latest version has required a hard reset of both my iPhone and iPad.
Also, it doesn’t handle time zones properly - if you’re on holiday one time zone ahead, events don’t happen where they’re marked on the timeline, they’re one hour in the “future”.

Application Freezes
Since the time I have installed the eufy application. The app get freezes and my entire screen is stuck with nothing to do until I force restart it. It’s happen with my iPhone XR (16.3) and iPhone 13 Pro Max (16.3 and 16.4) both. Eufy team please look into it.

Getting worse
It used to be better but now the app freezes 30% of the time when I open it, I have to restart my phone so I can close the app and start again. By the time that is done so is the reason for trying to look through the camera in the first place. You can no longer zoom in as much as you could before in landscape. I have no idea why that option would be taken away and the cameras will lose connection for no apparent reason every now and again even though nothing at all has changed. So when you get an update that says bug fixes 🤷🏼🤷🏼🤷🏼.

Forced to update after getting intruder notification
The camera detects movement, you get a notification and instead of letting you see what’s going on, you are forced to do an update while your car is being broken into. Brilliant!

Avoid app updates
Good system for people who want to (hopefully ) avoid there cctv footage being scoured by Big Tech for data about your private life.
App has got progressively worse with updates so if working for you DO NOT UPDATE

Functional, with big compromises
Let’s get the most annoying thing out of the way. Your doorbell camera is not going to be compatible with Apple Watch. As someone who has his phone permanently on silent, I rely on notifications when I’m out and about to come through on my watch. This is not going to happen for the doorbell. You’re going to miss callers.
If that doesn’t bother you, the app will work. Outlining an area for movement detection is finicky, and then the detection doesn’t always work. Talking to people at the door over the phone has quite a bit of lag, but it works. It’s fine. As long as you don’t rely on your watch like me.

Great app but missing one crucial feature
Love the app. It does almost everything I need. However, it needs a function that all devices can be set to the same mode with the press of a button. If it had this feature, which would surprise me if it was difficult to implement, it would certainly get 5 stars.

Great product
As a quick security measure, this product is very good (above most of the others on the market), the application itself offers more than competitions do between motion detection (including types of motion to detect), sensitivity to-, an alarm function, two-way communication and more; it’s a very good product.
There are issues with it including the sound transmitted isn’t as fluid or clear as would be hoped, the device itself can go out of calibration quite easily once touched (corrected using the “calibrate” function) and the biggest issue I’ve found which occurs when you set up Apple Home. Once the cameras are linked to the Home application, the Eufy application loses some functionality including sensitivity options. It’s become a nightmare trying to fully disconnect the cameras from Home and to restore control over sensitivity (currently set slightly higher than best). Overall, I do recommend it, but I would suggest NOT connecting cameras to different apps.

Geofencing doesn’t work and misses recordings.
If you rely on the geofencing feature for a smart cam, and let’s face it, it’s a very important feature, then Eufycam is not for you. The feature just doesn’t work or when it does is random. I’ve spoken with Eufy Support ad nauseam regarding this and each time they tell me it will be fixed in an update. To date, there have been 4 updates and none of them have fixed the issue. There are many users experiencing the same issue too and there are online forums flooded with people complaining about the same issue. There is also an issue where the cameras fail to record the first 5 seconds of every clip even with the “optimal surveillance” checkbox ticked on the app. Whilst they have been quick to respond to my questions, the issues still have not been resolved. I tried setting them up on HomeKit which gladly does resolve the geofencing issue but the battery life is terrible. Please do your homework before committing

Does exactly what it says
This is a great product. Was very easy to self install. Picture quality is great and no cloud storage fees.
Need to be careful with the angle as the night vision gets glare from any big surface that is very close to the camera.
