Actually a useful app I finally use! Would 100% recommend, only bad thing is transporting the finished product. Could you use some improvements, but overall amazing app!

How it helps...
Over the years people I have learned to use keynote to convince my parents to do everything and afterwards they were so impressed, they usually gave in!

Garbage
Unusable garbage. Spent a day prepping slides only to find all links pointing to the same slide. Garbage !!

Useless now
Can no longer make another presentation since the last update. This is really affecting my work. Fix this now!!! In the future when you sent updates to improve things don’t also then take things away! I’m so angry right now. I have lessons to make.

Broken import from photo library
With the latest update the app crashes on attempt to insert a photo from a photo library. I have about 30,000 photos collected over years and the app just dies when you select All photos during the insert photo step. How can Apple do this?

Terrible
I updated my iPad 5th generation to ios11 and it won’t let me see any of presentation and they have all deleted but my files on numbers haven’t deleted

Poor
The video function doesn't seem to embed videos properly. Just leaves them as an image when you email it off. Can't seem to get it to work with pdf or any other kind of file. Kind of useless in that respect.

Soundtrack stops
It still breaks down in the middle of the presentation on my apple air pad. Just updated 12/11/2015
A very important presentation now doesn't work as the soundtrack turns itself off. The whole experience has been exasperating from start to finish. Apple is supposed to be a leader in technology but I beg to differ...

Bought, actually with money, this app ages ago. It has now disappeared for my use and it won't download again for me! What is wrong with this company? It's time to move away from the monster that is Apple Mac!

Great Presentations App
I have to create a lot of presentations and Keynote trumps any other offering. Great presentations done very simply. Keynote offers all the functionality and the iCloud sync to the Mac version is great.

Needs export to QuickTime .MOV function!
This is huge step up from PowerPoint and would get 5 stars if it:
A.) Had better integration with the desktop version of Keynote (sometimes after creating a presentation on the iPad I send it to myself so I can export to QuickTime but the pres doesn't look exactly the same in the desktop version)
B.) Had the ability to export to QuickTime either by exporting to iTunes or uploading to iWork/Dropbox. It would save a huge amount of time if I didn't have to export to iWork as a presentation then download on my desktop so I can create a .MOV.

Great for sales presentations
This is great for building and delivering sales presentations. It really shines in a one on one environment. No delays with boot up etc., just press the home button, launch the app and go.

Poor powerpoint conversion and Could have clearer instructions. No support for ChemDraw
No success after 1 hour trying to import powerpoint presentation from my MacBook Pro to my ipad2
emailed them did not work
itunes no luck
Well suddenly emailing worked and i could import powerpoint presentations ok as long as they had a ppt extension. Then I was using the app voicerecorder and it explained how to import files into iTunes-basiclly connect ipad to computer then launch itunes, select ipad then apps scroll down and select keynote from the apps that can import files, then you can add powerpoint files from your computer to the ipad. This worked great.
I had planned to import all my Powerpoint slides into keynote and use the ipad2 to present my lectures.
Unfortunately 1in 4 of the imported slides did not import graphics correctly.
My powerpoint slides work great on Mac, PC and in OpenOffice but not in keynote on the ipad2.
I am very disappointed and will stick to my MacBook pro to present my powerpoint lectures.
Wish I had not wasted money on this application and the expensive projector connector.

Needs improvement
I've used keynote for mac for many years now and looked forward to running it on my iPad 2. This app does what you'd expect and has the sort of intuitive interface you'd expect from Apple. If you've got your presentation file on the iPad, running it is as easy as plugging into the projector and firing up the app.
However, there are two ways in which this app falls short. The first is a minor problem: keynote actions (moving or scaling graphics, for example) don't work. This isn't a bug: the feature just isn't implemented. You are limited to build ins and build outs.
The second problem is a major one: the means of getting keynote presentations into the app are extremely limited. You can sync them via iTunes (via USB), you can get them from the soon-to-be-phased-out iDisk (if you've paid for MobileMe) or you can get them from a WebDAV server. That's it. No FTP, no Dropbox, no SugarSync. Other apps (the PDF app GoodReader, for example) offer many more ways of getting files into the app. Apple really needs to beef up the connectivity for this app before I can give it 5 stars.

Pinch & Zoom
Great presentation software...but frustrating when using the VGA connection to an external data projector.
I want to be able to Pinch & Zoom during a presentation, but this can only be done when editing the slides, and the VGA output only works while running the presentation.
I suppose my gripe is with the VGA output rather than this fine bit of software, but then most presentations I run, like most people are for groups of people, so this is important.

Make it work like on a Mac
Wow this could be great but like the Pages app falls very short of what it can do. Make it work like the 'real' program please. Needs a major upgrade to make it worth getting otherwise like me you'll be disappointed.

So practical, so simple
I downloaded this late one evening and set up my first presentation at half six the following morning just after waking up! Its extremely easy to use, quick, simple, and doesn't try to do anything more than you need. Like all Aple software, it does the job, quickly, stylishly, intuitively and completely without having to spend days learning how to use clunky software. - Just great.
