No proper regression testing

Each update of this app breaks something that worked well in previous versions. An example, the current version requires you to re-authenticate every time you open the app. Even worse it asks for authentication preferences to be set (e.g. allow face ID) on each re-authentication, but these are effectively null and void since the same preferences are requested again on the next time you open app and have to re-authenticate (face ID option not accepted).
Bad SDLC governance around this app. Releases are either not properly QA’d or time pressures cause bad versions to be signed off for production release.

App Lagging

The app is slow in pulling for flight details forward, it struggles to connect the various bookings together. If you purchase a third party service through Etihad it does not show the information on your app.

Diabolical customer service.

Etihad have changed my flight times and date over six times since I booked to go to the Seychelles for my and I “40th wedding anniversary” . I have had to rearrange hotel & car hire booking’s because of this and missed out on some accommodation’s because of this. I also had to pay increased because I didn’t know where I stood with Etihad. When I called Etihad I was told to send any complaint’s to Feedback . I have done this twice and have made at least 12 call’s to Etihad customer service. Not once have Etihad come back to me despite been promised on several occasions that I would have a call back within 24 to 48 hours. I am convinced that Etihad staff are trained to make you believe that they are doing everything to help you and then completely ignore your problems. I didn’t receive one piece of compensation or good will offering in lieu of the fact that I had to completely change all of my four flights. I can only conclude by saying you are experts in fooling people and are totally in denial of any problems customer’s may endure through faults solely created by Etihad. I will reluctantly be flying with Etihad in about three weeks, and I will never ever use or recommend this inconsiderate company again. Dermot Lennon

Beware

Beware of this Airways, they gonna book ur flight first, cancel it without letting you know, You Ask for your refund money and they gonna refund half as part of their their fault.Funny part is their after steal customer service. excecutive are clueless for the complain number registered . Hide and seek is played by Big boss REFUND TEAM.JUST AWOID ETIHAD AIRWAYS .It used to be good it’s now just money minded , still I am running behind them for my money.

Excellent

It’s fantastic App. Very easy to check in and allows to change seats as well. It was my first time and as I said it was a 5 min job . I would be suggesting to add meal options while checking in would be a handy one . If a customer can opt veg or non veg meal options it will be a complete ease to customers.

Unnecessary steps

App works okay, however developers could make it much simpler and user friendly as when booking flights I encountered 2 issues.
Firstly I was asked to submit my Etihad membership number eventhough I was booking through my own profile and had all my information already submitted.
Second when booking flights and on seat selection, once I realized they were paid seats I wanted to decline and cancel. However, instead of being allowed to do so, I had to restart the whole booking process again.

Terrible customer service

Poor Etihad ap

Rarely works properly.
Last week I couldn’t check in for 2.5 hours then worked all of a sudden.
Today have to pay $30 to check in as all seats are set to charge on selection. This charge is only supposed to apply to exit seats etc.
no follow up service available when problems do arise.

Slick App

Used the app to search for flights and I found the UI to be well designed and intuitive. The colour scheme through the app is well chosen and makes for easy viewing on a phone. I haven't used all the features but what I used was very good. Clearly a lot of effort has been put into this app.
