The app is free to browse your media collection, and free to cast media to other devices. Playback requires a small one-time in-app purchase, or an active Emby Premiere subscription, also available in-app.
Emby Premiere is available in-app as a monthly subscription for $6.99 USD per month. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account upon confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and the renewal cost is $6.99 USD. Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.

Can’t resume video if casting from iOS
Biggest issue I have - videos don’t resume when casting from iOS to Chromecast. Playback always starts from the beginning. Videos are pretty standard mp4/h264/ac3. Same issue for myself and 3 friends all on iOS. Apart from that the app quite good. It seems to be a web UI inside the app and it doesn’t respond or function quite as well as Plex (sometimes context menus take a while to open for example), but the design look & feel is good overall.

Glaring performance issues
App will not let you swipe left or right on the main screen to go through your recently added or recently watched. App stutters, freezes and becomes generally unresponsive constantly. This is on an iPhone 6S Plus. You wouldn't see this with Plex. Much more polished.
