Description

THE #1 GLOBAL BESTSELLER
'A swirl of big ideas and non-stop action' New York Times
Florence: Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon awakes in a hospital bed with no recollection of where he is or how he got there. Nor can he explain the origin of the macabre object that is found hidden in his belongings.
A threat to his life will propel him and a young doctor, Sienna Brooks, into a breakneck chase across the city. Only Langdon's knowledge of the hidden passageways and ancient secrets that lie behind its historic facade can save them from the clutches of their unknown pursuers.
With only a few lines from Dante's Inferno to guide them, they must decipher a sequence of codes buried deep within some of the Renaissance's most celebrated artworks to find the answers to a puzzle which may, or may not, help them save the world from a terrifying threat . . .

Inferno

A typically well written and researched Dan Brown book. The main story line is quite frightening in the context that it could possibly have for our future.
The book was a real page turner and certainly kept me interested however it was not as "unputdownable" as the De Vinci Code.

A good read. It takes some time to get going and for the first half or more of the book I felt I was reading another version of the Da Vinchi Code or Angels and Demons with different characters but only loosely different facts. The twists and turns in the final third are great however and I could not put the book down for the final 200 pages!

Fast Paced and Well Written

It's action packed and well written, it does what you expect of a Brown book and it is a rewarding read.

Very good but....

Found the end a bit anti-climatic but I enjoyed this better then the Davinci code

4 Stars

While not as substantial as The Da Vinci code, Inferno is still an enjoyable read and a step up from The Lost Symbol.
